Studying in Seattle

I'm really terrible at studying at home, so I decided to take advantage of my day with only one class and head to Seattle. One awkward bus ride being squished up against a wall later and I arrived. I headed towards Pike's Place Market and began my adventure at Seattle Coffee Works. I had an amazing soy latte and worked some on my research paper. I've never been to this coffee shop before, but it was super cute and very quiet. Also very hipster, but I didn't mind it too much and they weren't the annoying kind of hipster.

Afterwards, I went to the US bank centre and visited my friend/high school group leader Lauren. She works on the 40th floor so there was an AMAZING view of Seattle at her work. She also bought me my first cake pop, which was pretty neato.

I then headed over to my mom's work which is right by the westlake center. I got to meet lots of her coworkers and we went to "Yard House". I had a delicious roast beef dip sandwich and a mediocre caesar salad. But it was a beautiful restaurant and a great time!

I then walked down pike to 2nd to Storyville cafe, had some tea and finished up my paper. I walked back up to 6th and shopped at H&M for some christmas presents (unsuccessfully). Afterwards, I headed home on a less awkward, but much more sleepy bus ride.

All in all, I had a great adventure day. I was by myself the whole day, which was scary, but it was encouraging when it was all said and dont and made me realize that adulting might not be the scariest thing in the world.
Today I'm Thankful For.....
  • cute new (to me) coffee shops
  • the beautiful city of Seattle
  • my wonderful mother
  • the joy of Jesus
P.S. did you catch my pun in the title? lol like Sleepless in Seattle, Studying in Seattle lol (;
